CHARACTER APPEARANCE
Play-By: Tom Hiddleston
Hair Shade: Naturally a reddish-brown, he changes it quite a bit. Mostly he goes for a dark brown or black if he does change it, but sometimes he makes a more radical change just because he can.
Hair Style: Naturally slightly curly, again he can change this on a whim. Its length varies all the time, and sometimes it's straight, but mostly it's kept with its light waves.
Eye Color: Pale grey-blue. Varies dramatically.
Build: Tall and slim at 6'1", Teddy doesn't look much like an athlete. He can move quickly when he wants to, but doesn't have so much in the way of physical strength. His shoulders are narrow, frame pretty slender. He holds himself with sophisticated grace, movements flowing and coordinated.
As a Metamorphagus, his entire appearance can be changed at will. He prefers to stick to his natural appearance for the sake of comfort and people recognising him. Mostly he uses his abilities to mess around, but he might use them to look a little smarter for a special occasion or as a disguise if he ever needs to go anywhere without being recognised. Sometimes he will change his appearance completely to talk to someone he knows he'll never meet again, like a shopkeeper, purely because he can and it amuses him. Most frequently he changes his hair, then after than his eyes, much as one might style their hair for an event except a lot quicker for him.
Dressing Style: Style is something Teddy takes pride in. Suits are no stranger to him. He likes to be well dressed. Robes and cloaks are garb he's fond of, too. Generally he prefers not to wear bright colours, tending to wear darker or less vivid colours, especially blues and greens.
CHARACTER PERSONALITY
Likes: Defence Against the Dark Arts, dueling, animals and magical creatures, family, jokes
Dislikes: Ignorance, numbers, not being busy, waiting, seriousness
Strengths: Intelligent, good sense of humour, hard working, witty,
Weaknesses: Never serious, impatient, short attention span, over-protective,
Overall Personality: Years of growing up between different families left Teddy feeling independent from an early age. He knew how to take care of himself when he was a child, but that never made him act more mature. There is a sensible side to him, but this is rarely seen and only ever on formal, important occasions. Usually he's fun and loves to joke around. Laughs come easily to him, always seeing the funny side of things and loving nothing more than being able to cheer someone up. He is cheerful and optimistic in general.
Protective and loyal, Teddy will stand by those he cares about to the very end. He is quick to trust and once someone is counted by him as a friend, not just an acquaintance, he will support them in all they wish to do. He will offer truthful advice if he thinks someone he cares about is going down the wrong path, but on the whole trusts people to make good decisions for themselves, He had morals, of course, and won't support people trying to harm anyone, even if they are his friends. He is apt at defending those he cares about, ready to use magic to help whenever needed.
Teddy has always seemed second best, in a way. He's intelligent, but there's always someone smarter whose shadow he falls into. Jokes and tricks are something he's good at, as well as Defence Against the Dark Arts, and being a Metamorphmagus helps with both of these. While he's talented at Defence Against the Dark Arts, because his grades just barely didn't cut it for being an Auror, he's never quite seen how good he is and puts himself down a lot.
Orphaned so young, he's never known anything else and so it doesn't bother him so much as it may have had he been orphaned older. He wishes he had some memories of his parents, of course, and wants more than anything to meet them and talk to them, but he knows this can never happen and accepts it. He loves his grandmother and the Potters and Weasleys, all of whom had parts in raising him (mostly his grandmother), and is grateful to them for raising him.
With all his laughing and jokes, Teddy still maintains an air of sophistication and class. This is to do with the general way he holds himself and acts. It's just something about him and it's hard to put a finger on why exactly this is.

Birth Place:
Overall History: Born amidst the chaos at the climax of the Second Wizarding War, Teddy spent the first month of his life ferried around between safehouses by his parents. Needless to say it was not the ideal time to have a baby to take care of. Remus Lupin and Nymphadora Tonks, his father and mother, were killed in the Battle of Hogwarts on the 2nd of May by Antonin Dolohov and Bellatrix Lestrange respectively, He was orphaned at just a few weeks old and thus has no memory of his parents.
Teddy had been left with his grandmother, Andromeda Tonks, during the battle, and it was with her he remained for much of his childhood. She was kind to him, but it was hard for an old lady to raise and energetic and demanding young boy all alone. His godfather, Harry Potter, played a large role in his upbringing, as did Ron and Hermione Weasley and their family.
His grandmother being old, the Potters and Weasleys all having new careers of their own, Teddy ended up living out his childhood between households. Most of his time was spent with his grandmother, but a couple of nights a week were spent with the Potters and/or the Weasleys. None of them had kids his age, so he could be quite lonely and acted older than he was to fit in better around the grown-ups. The first of the Weasley and Potter children were born when he was about seven years old. He tried to act like a big brother to them, looking after them, playing games and telling them all sorts of things.
There was never any denying Teddy was a wizard. His father claimed that within an hour of his birth he changed his hair colour from black to ginger, a fact he is quite proud of. His being a Metamorphmagus was the clear and obvious sign he was a wizard, and the skill was a natural thing to him. As a baby it meant his grandmother had difficulty taking him out in public, since he was prone to randomly changing his appearance quite drastically until the age of about two, when he understood his gift and more about the significance of a person's appearance in helping other people recognise them. His grandmother tried making him wear a hat to cover his hair, but he was prone to occasionally changing his skin colour or imitating the beaks of ducks and birds and, on one occasion, the beard of a rather surprised wizard in Diagon Alley. He proved quite the powerful Metamorphmagus. Before going to Hogwarts, aside from changing his appearance at will, the only magic he achieved was the odd burst of sparks and the occasional moving objects unintentionally. He proved a keen learner of anything his various carers had to say about magic, especially when it involved their fights against the Dark Arts.
At the age of eleven, Teddy anxiously awaited his Hogwarts letter. He was certain he would have a place, but all the same he couldn't help but worry there'd been some mishap. Finally the letter arrived, and his various family members and carers congratulated him and helped fund his school supplies so the expense wasn't all on his retired grandmother's pension. His grandmother did buy him his first owl, a young tawny he named Dawn. He wanted to name her Chocolate or Fudge, but his grandmother insisted that would be a silly name he'd regret a few years down the line when his classmates tease him for it, something he protested then but understands now.
Once at Hogwarts, Teddy fit in well. He'd been in several minds about what house he wanted to be in, hoping to be put in Gryffindor like his father and godfather, or Hufflepuff like his mother although he thought they were a bit slow, while his grandmother, an ex-Slytherin, had told him Slytherin wasn't so bad. As it was, he would have been content in just about any house, but was proud to have been made a Gryffindor. He was worried he was too laid-back and not bold enough to be sorted into that house.
He was happy to be around children his age, and made a good many friends across years and houses. There were five he was closest to, mostly Gryffindors, but he had a range of acquaintances across all houses, especially Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. He was a bright kid excelling in a variety of different kinds of magic, especially the more practical subjects like Transfiguration and Charms. Defence Against the Dark Arts was always his favourite subjects. The results of his second year exams served to prove that was his best subject, as his mark was one of the best in the year and well above his grades for all over subjects. He set his sights on becoming an Auror and following in the footsteps of his parents as great defenders against the Dark Arts.
At the start of his second year, a group of his friends joined the dueling club. After going to a session, they thought Teddy would enjoy it so pressured him into joining as well. They had thought correctly, and Teddy took to dueling with ease. He had talent, and was quick-thinking and clever in his strategies. Before long he could beat most of the other club members in his year. With hard work, practice outside of dueling club meeting and some pointers from older students, he could even beat students in the years above him. By his fifth year, he was notorious as one of the best duelers in the school. He was rarely beaten and was always happy to coach other students.
Most of his friends expected him to succeed in becoming an Auror. However, to his dismay, when his O.W.L results came back his Potions score was not good enough. He blamed himself; he'd spent a lot of time joking about, although he had worked incredibly hard. Unsure of what he'd do after graduation, Teddy stuck to his favourite subjects and carried on. He had been made a Prefect in his fifth year and many suspected he would be made Head Boy, but he remained a Prefect.
After leaving Hogwarts, Teddy lived with his grandmother while he looked for a job. He found work here and there sorting out magical pests, and eventually made a living out of dealing with monsters for people. It wasn't quite Auror work, but it was something. He earned enough to move out and buy a small house of his own.
At the age of 23, he won the position of Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts, where he currently teaches happily. The position became available when the school year ended in July. He was recommended for the post by the Ministry, having worked with them before on multiple occasions to take down some more dangerous creatures (most notably a particularly violent trio of zombies, and a few trolls over the years). He'd saved them a deal of hassle by sorting out a problem before it could escalate, too. Hogwarts awarded him the position for experience fighting the very beasts described in the textbooks, but it was a close thing. More experienced people were needed in the field, however, and the Ministry had spoken very favourably of him. He planned on buying a cat to keep him company in the castle, and eventually got round to it. He bought a small black kitten and named him Rigel, after the star.
